Requirements: Tourist (L Visa)

One recent passport photo
Current passport (validity at least 6 months)
Copy of outward and return flight booking
Copy of Chinese hotel booking
(If staying with a relative or friend an not a hotel; an invitation letter and copy of inviter's ID or residence permit)

Requirements: Transit (G Visa)

Completed application form (please print double-sided¹)
One recent passport photo
Current passport (validity at least 6 months)
Copy of outward and return flight booking
valid visa for onward country of destination

Requirements: Business (F Visa)

Completed application form (please print double-sided¹)
One recent passport photo
Current passport (validity at least 6 months)
Copy of outward and return flight booking
Copy of Chinese hotel booking
Visa Notification Form (issued by the relevant department of the Chinese Government, Companies or Institutions, under the authorisation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chine. Detailed information can be obtained from the Foreign Affairs Office of the relevant Province, Autonomous Region and Minicipality where the inviting party resides.)

Requirements: Long-Term Working (Z Visa)

Completed application form (please print double-sided¹)
One recent passport photo
Current passport (validity at least 6 months)
Employment Permit from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security or the State Administration of Foreign Experts of China
Invitation letter from a relevant department of the Chinese Government or a Government-authorised company.

The Embassy now issues visas through a visa handling centre, who act as approved agents for the Embassy. We must submit all applications through this visa handling centre. The fees below reflect the new increased fees now in force charged by the Embassy and visa handling centre to obtain the required visa.
